FileMaker has introduced a new program for FileMaker developers. It looks like they have changed their FBA to add further support for those not making their living solely off of FileMaker development. It still does not look like a membership in the FileMaker Technical Network allows you to submit a solution to be listed on their website. It has some benefits that might actually get me to finally join. I’d just like to get a few more details. FileMaker Technical Network

As previously noted, FileMaker 9 will feature support for external SQL (ODBC) data sources. FileMaker 9 will be able to read and write to SQL data sources while FileMaker 9 developers will be able to specify which fields of the SQL database are accessible, if desired, without actually altering the SQL database itself. Sources report FileMaker 9 will officially support SQL Server 2000 and 2005, Oracle 9g and 10g, and MySQL 5.0 Community Edition.

If you are using or have tired IT Journal Pro please let me know what you think of it. I’m beginning to planning version 3. I’ve had some feedback and I’m going to try and incorporate most of the requests I gotten into the next version but if you have any suggestion please let me know. There is the contact form at the top of the page and my e-mail address is available somewhere on the site.
Do you run IT Journal Pro on a monitor with a resolution smaller than 1024×768?
Do you upgrade your version of FileMaker regularly?
If there were FileMaker 8.5 only features designed into IT Journal Pro 3 would this keep you from purchasing a copy?
I’m always trying to improve the solution so please let me know how I can make it better.
